Suggestion for less waste. When I use pumpkin (for a hedgehog) I dollop out feeding portions into ice cube trays (or on a dish covered with plastic wrap) and freeze them. Then I just take out what I will need for the day the night before. I'm assuming this will work for chins too.

thank you both.............those are great ideas. i have enuf squash for the next week, so this weekend i will pick up a can of the pumpkin & try that out.

make sure it is plain pumpkin and not the kind with spices to make pies. I have not been able to find it It certainly would be cheaper than baby food
