We groom our kits with a soft baby brush in our lap. It seems to get them used to handling and touching. It's pleasurable for them too.

The hard chin combs are easy to accidentally poke a chin. That combined with the usual inverted dangling is not what any chin could possibly look forward to. Perhaps that's why so many of the adults despise being groomed.

Awww!!! That is so cute!! I would like to try that with my chins!! Tribble is the only one who stands a chance at liking it because he loves scritches. My other two girls don't enjoy it. :p

i found a pretty soft little cat brush i was going to try on Jonesy, BUT...she's only 3 months. is she too young to be brushed? if she can be, should i do it before or after her bath?

My brush is a generic rabbit brush. It's not the best for grooming but it works for me. Keep in mind not all chins enjoy being brushed, I'm lucky mine does.

I don't know if three months is too young to groom. I didn't start until mine was a year old. I'll brush her before a bath and then she bathes.
