There are a ton of people who sell them on Ebay. I buy all my loofah from heckenloper (I think it is) on Ebay. He is selling the majority of seeds as well.

If your area gets really cold in the winter, you might not get a good crop out of it. I tried some last year in growing zone 3 or 4 (northern PA) and it didn't work. You might have luck if you let it start growing inside somewhere and plant it outside by a fence or tree for it to climb up when it's big enough to stand the cold though.

I always thought about growing some, but I'm also in a colder area.

And then you'd need to prep the loofah anyways, which doesn't sound like a whole lot of fun, so I'll just stick to buying it already stripped of the outside.

just planted my loofah for the coming season, so hopefully I will be able to beat this loofah.

i had NO idea loofah was actually a plant. my son asked me what it was and I told him it came from the ocean!! lol. well i guess i learned something new today.

some of my chins like it........some, not so much.
