I noticed a dip in Sebastienne's head fur a week ago, and when I saw her today it was quite a bit worse. She has a cage mate and I was wondering if this is from the cagemate Chinchi chewing off her fur, or if this is fur slip, or something else. Chinchi has no spots of missing fur. The spot on Sebastienne's head doesn't go all the way to the skin, it is just kind of cropped shorter than the rest.

If Chinchi is chewing Sebastienne's fur, is there any reason other than aesthetics to separate them. They get along wonderfully, and they are pets so I personally don't care if Sebastienne looks funny from some missing fur, so I would prefer to keep them together.

Looks like the other got carried away with "grooming". Have they chew sticks or chew blocks in their cage?

Oh yeah, they have grape vine wreaths, pine ledges, bamboo finger traps, lots of hay, they get apple wood sticks, and they get a small piece of whole wheat pasta every week.

Thanks for the replies, I'm glad I can keep them together.:)
