Gus the red Doberman Pinscher is finally here! Well, he's been here for a couple days now, but I've been so busy I haven't had time to post. Here he is!

I wanted a doberman for a number of reasons including a guard dog but I definitely didn't want one that looked super dangerous haha. I love his floppy ears.

Gus is a beauty!
I have a doberman as well. He is black and tan. I find that half the people that cross our path are drawn to him, the other half move well out of our way! But he really is just a kitten, and dobies in general get a bad rap. They are not aggressive dogs at all. My hubby got me a dobie (I also grew up with one) for a guard dog, and he's great at barking and guarding when in the house, but lovies up to everyone we meet.

He's beautiful and I love his ears. I've never seen a doberman without their ears cropped. It changes their whole look! The red coat is gorgeous.

You can really see the hound ancestry when their ears are left, and I bet they're SUPER silky. He's so pretty.

Oh yes he is a love! He's a complete goof, Indeed people come right up to him all the time, or they back away. He doesn't seem to notice either way.

Hahaha your niece and I have that in common. I think they're super striking dogs and I've always wanted one too.
I'm so mad I bought him a ton of toys from Petco and he only likes this caterpillar that was on clearance for a dollar. He destroyed it so I bought like 6 of them haha.
