So if I'm not mistaken I remember the Ferret Nation cages being priced at like $165 at Petsmart (on sale I think). Now they're back to $230, anyone have any idea when they might go on sale again? I've been checking Craigslist with not much luck.

print out a Kennelvet.com ad for the Ferrent nation 142 and take it into your local store and have them price match. I just got mine Monday for $156 plus tax.

Just call first because even though someone said that all petsmart's should price match, some will tell you they don't. Also call ahead to make sure they have them in stock.

I would call ahead and make sure they have them in stock, but if you have any problems with price match you could bring this up

straight from the petsmart website:

PetSmart's Unbeatable Price Guarantee
Our Unbeatable Price Guarantee makes it easy for you to stock up on essentials (and surprises) for your pets.

In Store
We'll match any competitor's everyday or advertised price on an in-store, in-stock, identical product (excludes pets and services). See a store associate for details!

Online
We'll match any competitor's online everyday price for in-store, identical products. We cannot match sale prices or prices advertised on Ebay or other auction-type sites. Online Unbeatable Price Guarantee excludes shipping charges.

But it is still at the store owner/manager discretion. I already asked that question when I wanted to get it price matched. I was told if it is IN store, they do not have to adhere to that. :( So I would still call around first and make sure they honor it

I didn't think i'd find one because back order but they had just got on in the day before and I got the only one :). They should all price match, its a company wide policy. I printed off the price match gurantee page from their site incase but the woman just called the manager to the front and I had no problems. they shouldn't be able to refuse to price match.

I called a bunch of the stores around the Charlotte area, and I couldn't find anyone that had them in store. One lady, who seemed very helpful said that she believed that they were planning on carrying the cage line/I think she said all creatures or something along that line. That Petsmart stores probably wouldn't carry the FN in store anymore! I'm soooo hoping she is wrong:cry3:

you have to be careful with petsmart,i know the ones are here are IDIOTS..none of them know what they are talking about...one guy always told me they didnt carry ferret nations but yet they had stickers on shelves for them in the store and when i mentioned that to him he said well i dont know why its there we dont carry those cages....WOWWWW.he couldnt admit he was wrong.

PETSMART STILL CARRIES ALL MARSHAL PRODUCTS!!!! The store manager is in charge of merchandising, and just as one Walmart will carry things that another will not, so will Petsmart. There focus is money, not expensive inventory sitting on shelves waiting to be sold. That is why you will find large amounts of overstock dog & cat kennels, and almost zero FN cages. But just like Walmart they can do transfers, special orders, and same day distribution delivery in large citys.

Alot of people you get on the phone won't even look and just say they don't have them.

i haven't heard they aren't going to carry them in stores anymore. The first store I went to didn't have any in stock because the backorders online but a shipment was coming in on Wednesday (yesterday) with a few on the truck and the second one I went to that had it had just got it in the day before. If the stores are close and the people on the phone say they don't have them, I'd either ask for a manager or just drive to the stores, thats why I didn't bother calling because they never know what they are talking about. To me, it was worth it to drive a few miles and see for myself than having to pay for shipping if I couldn't find it anywhere.

I've called Petsmart and found one that would price match for an online add but they said I need to print out how much it would be after shipping- does that sound right to you guys? I've never price matched before. If so Kennelvet.com has been the cheapest I've found at $156.35, but including shipping it would be $201- is that the cheapest around?

When I bought mine they didn't require shipping be included in the price they'd match. I got them to match King Wholesale http://www.kingwholesale.com/Shopping/ProductInfo.cfm?Item=20014 which is $149.97, so after tax it came to $163.47. Maybe keep calling around? I personally feel like its easier to "sweet talk" someone in person rather than over the phone, but I guess it depends on how far you have to drive whether you'd want to take that chance.

Ooh thanks for the link! Yeah I know I don't understand why they would make me pay for the shipping price too because then what would be the point of me buying it from them? Thanks for the advice!

you'd have better luck price matching kennelvet because its not a sale. that site says 'on sale' and it has to be a 'everyday price' so they will probably only match the everyday price of $179 from there.
