The 180 series snaps together like the critter nations and are advertised as a no-tools needed assembly but a few people have mentioned needing a hammer to get some pieces in place. I've also read some bad reviews on the 180 series.

I was freaking out the week before I brought Latte home... remember? Once you hold those sweet girlies all your anxiety will go away. You'll find your new routine, and in a few months you'll wonder how you had less than 3.

I was thinking the same thing when I saw the half size on sale. I think my boyfriend would evict me...I bought a 142 during that big Amazon sale a while ago when I didn't need it at the time...LOL. 3 chins later...

Are the 141's stackable or does it require the extension to make it a two-level?

you should be able to stack them - same connectors are used to attach unit to shelf/base as attaching two units (stacking) - which would leave you with an extra shelf/base, but effectively get you a new fn 142 for $160 plus shipping....
