I'm a big fan of the softer cheeses such as brie. I would suggest going to a slightly higher end supermarket that has a bigger cheese selection and will let you taste the cheeses before making a purchase. Great bread, crackers/lavishes, toast points, grapes, figs, honey, nuts and dried fruit would also go great with cheese and wine.

You can bake the brie right before you serve it. Just rub it with some olive oil and honey, bake, and dip with some nice bread. You could also stuff fresh figs with blue cheese as well.

When I was in high school, I was on the dairy products judging team for FFA (and no, it wasn't like it was portrayed on Napoleon Dynamite!) but we had to identify certain types of cheeses and my favorite hard cheese were Muenster and sharp cheddar... delish... and as for soft cheese, Camembert was pretty nice. I'm not too big a wine drinker though so I don't know what I would pair those cheeses with. I just know those were quite tasty to me!

Ha, I wish I could be of more help with the wine (I'm a vodka and jager girl so wine just isn't up my alley) but my favorite cheese is pepper jack!!! If you could find a good wine to go with some I'd probably reconsider lol

Vodka and Jager! Girl, you're 18!

Ah cheese...

I love smoked cheeses particularly gouda, swiss and cheddar. I really like butterkaise cheese - very buttery and soft. Manchego is a nice hard cheese to pair with wine. I like grapes and cashews when I eat cheese as well. I love a good reisling - nice sweet german ones are the best. I don't know if they ship to you, but Williamsburg Winery in Virginia is FANTASTIC. They ship some of their wines to certain states. Wine is so interesting - I have been on winery tours and love it. You should go on one...or 10. Just don't drink all the samples or you will be drunk quick!
