I'm wondering can you have a fan blowing on a chinchilla? Is it bad for them?
Im not using the fan as a cooler. I have a air conditioner but my room temp is pretty cool so I dont usually turn it on I just turn on the fan. My chinchillas are beside my bed and the fan is right in front of my bed.

Yes, it is bad to have a fan pointed at a chinchilla. Drafts can give them an upper respiratory infection. Also, while a fan is cooling to you, it has no effect whatsoever on cooling your chin, so keep a close eye on the temp to make sure it's in the safe zone at all times and if it's not, turn on the ac

If it is warm, all a fan will do is blow warm air at your chin.
