And this belongs in a pet thread?

Why not? Its informative, why not show a picture of the organ that the raisin will go in and its size in comparison.

Why do these treats have to have sugar in them when there are alternative treats that do not?
Oats, Triticale, plain Cheerios and dehydrated Papaya all rate very close on the glycemic index.

I don't even want to think about what applewood bark rates as, it is clear full of natural sugar certain times of the year, that is why chins go nuts for it.

If people educated themselves about the food they eat the chins would be better off in the long run as well. The reality is that people don't want to think about it so good things get bunched in the "bad item" category.

As stated earlier it is better to say NO fruit, then say that dried papaya, blueberries and goji berries are all healthier alternatives for pet chins.

When it is all said and done, I also stand behind fruit of any kind being a poor choice for a chin; however, I do a tiny, tiny piece (about one centimeter by one centimeter) of dried papaya or cranberry every couple of months or so as it does provide my chin with relief and prevention of urinary issues.
