So, if you have a light on in the room the chinchilla is in, will it think it's day time and try to go back to sleep?

Because, i just got him and I would like to bond with him, and since they're nocturnal, I'd have to wait to basically night time because I don't want to bother him while he's sleeping but would having a light on affect his sleep?

Thank you!

I had two chins. One doesn't mind the light but the other one hated it. She would squint and avoid it. She passed away and now I leave a light on for the one I have. She doesn't mind and I can see her better.
