A mulitvitamin that is great is called Alive- it's a liquid multi and if you can get over the dark green colored shot it's wonderful. It's got the basics found in multi's, but also has a lot of superfoods which I like and doesn't have a lot of iron (a number of people have a hard time with iron supplements).

(it does um... make your urine look highlighter yellow/green though)

Theres probably a lot of B vitamins in it, which make your urine bright yellow

I got the centrum orange flavored chewables. I went to WalMart and they only had the one a days and centrum... Centrum looked to have a good list on the back! Not too much of D, Bs, Iron.. But plenty of C, calcium, zinc etc!

Yeah it does have a lot of B vitamins, sort of strange the first time!

I got it in person at vitamin shoppe but here's the site if your interested http://www.vitaminshoppe.com/store/en/browse/sku_detail.jsp?id=NW-2471 it looks like there are a couple of different ones, which could be why it was hard to find!

It's also nice because you can take it with orange juice, which helps me with digestion at least.

I never knew the thing about B vitamins until this year. Gotta love biology class :p

If you want to supplement Vit D, just eat dairy/milk products. Vitamin D deficiency can be easily fixed and the effects reversible, but vitamin D overdose can kill you. I don't recommend that people take vitamin D supplements and you will find that most vitamins don't even contain D in them.

My doc recommended a good quality vitamin D to correct my deficiency - 2000 IU/day at first, now 1000 IU to maintain. He recommended D without K - as K can overdose, but D cannot (well not at this level anyway). I live in Michigan and we're sun-deprived and I am not a milk drinker.

I have been really happy with swansonvitamins.com - shipping is cheap and quick. The multi I like from them is their brand high potency softgel multi iron free. The softgel form is big, but easier to swallow than a dry tablet. And I don't get any aftertaste from it either.

D definitely can overdose! A, D, E and K vitamins you can all overdose on, however I believe that the amounts you're getting, especially since you don't drink fortified milk, should be safe
