Cute Hedgehog Story

A week ago my husband picked Lexie up in a ball (which is normal for her). She loves to be blown on, so he blew into where her face would be so she would start to unroll. This time, she partially unrolled and stuck both hind legs out and proceeded to sit like that. We tried to unroll her but she wasn't interested and each time we flipped her back over she'd stick her feet out. Since that day every time we pick her up she just chills in a a partial ball with her feet stuck up in the air like goal posts eating meal worms for about 10 mins...it seems to be one of her most favourite positions. Its the funniest thing to see!

How sweet. I encourage this behavior in my hedgehogs. It makes it so much easier to check their legs to ensure that no hair or a loose thread has become wrapped around a leg and is cutting off circulation.
