Spring is a great time to camp in Colorado!
This is a learning show, we will all judge.
It's a great experience for all.

Made our reservations this afternoon. I love this show!:heart3:

This is my favorite show to attend . Looking forward to seeing you there Vicki.
Hope you can get time off to attend Lynn.
I think you would really enjoy this show Sumiko. I think you and any others from Calif. would be glad you came. This show is very educational .And a ton of fun.

Lynn were you able to get time off from work for this show?

WOO HOO -- YES!!! I just got approval yesterday from my manager.

It was tricky, as our big spring event is that Thursday, Friday and Saturday. I'll have to do a lot of pre-selling to make my numbers for it since I'll only be in the store on Thursday.

I made my reservation at the Country Store. Can't wait to see everyone!!! I'll be there Friday p.m.

Thats great news Lynn. We will be there Fri. afternoon as well.
How about you Sumiko? are you going to be able to attend? any one else your way coming out? It would be a great chance to get some top quality animals from accross the country, That you might not have the chance to other wise get.
i know in years paost ther have been 1st place natl's animals avalable at this show very resonable priced.
I may have a ECBC regestered CC Saphire male availble at the show as well.

I am not sure yet and will find out at our claiming show in a couple weeks if others CA members are interested in attending. If there are some exceptional animals there, it would definitely be a good opportunity to buy... and save me a load on shipping, haha.

Looking forward to seeing you again Lynn. We should be there sometime late Friday afternoon. :dance3:

Oh i want to go sooooo bad. I am begging my hubby. There has been a sickness in the family so that is what is holding us up at the moment. I would sure love to go tho and am going to try my little hiney off. I sure wish it was closer tho. But i guess if someone can drive from ca there then wy shouldn't be a biggy, i hope :p

Ann, it's about 6-6 1/2 hours from my house in S.E. Denver. So depending on how long it takes you to get to Denver, add that.

It's a beautiful drive through Glenwood Canyon on I-70 to Glenwood Springs and then very scenic over McClure pass and on into the Western Slope. Crawford is very small town "Old West".

Luke always says that it is the one show he wouldn't miss, and after hearing about it for a couple of years, I went last year AND I can't wait 'til this year!!! Hope you can make it!!!

Yep it is the one show I won't miss. Hope you can make it Ann.
Depending on what part of wyo. you live in Ann it might be shorter for you to take 191 from Rock Springs to Vernal Ut. then on 40 to Dinosaur Colo. Then on to rangley then over douglas pass to I-70.
or another option would be to Craig Colo. on to Meeker then to Rifle (I believe that is highway 13)

We should be there in time to help with set-up this year if we don't have to stop so many times for Dan to take pics. We coming there through Black Canyon this year, I think.

I'm in Rock Springs. I am trying to make it. My hubbys brother got diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma and it has spread to his brain so we may have to head up to WA soon. Hopefully we will be back by then tho. I want to go badly

The show is getting close. We're picking out our show animals tomorrow. Here's hoping the weather will be nice and everyone can get there. There are always some really nice animals to be claimed at this show. We'll be bringing at least one 1st place female from the ECBC Nat. show and 2 1st place males from the Nat.

Which motel room is the closest? Which is best? Does most everyone stay friday night and saturday too? Is the show just on saturday? Also, this may be a stupid question but did you all say that we can purchase some of the chins? Would that be the show chins or are breeders just bringing extra ones to sell? Will the ones for sale be marked or do you have to ask? Thanks and sorry about all the questions but it looks like we are going to be able to go. I need to know how many carriers to bring. Lol

Your show string can be 10 animals at this show. You are allowed to hold one animal out to not sell. The show animals are for sale, I don't believe there will be animals just for sale, they will all be in the show. We always get there on Friday and stay Saturday. Everyone gets together after the show for food and a lot of chinnie talk. They will be listed on a sheet of paper on the wall as to price and you just go tell them at the registration table if you want to claim one. Bring plenty of carriers, there are always some good animals there to be claimed.

The motels are listed in the first post in this thread. The Crawford Motel is just a block or so from the show. There are only 10 rooms there so make your res. soon. the other 2 are in Hotchkiss a few miles away.
