Ewwww...no June bugs for me. I had a nasty bruise on the forehead once from getting smaked by one while on a motorcycle. :duh:

Haaa...that's so funny. :lol: Sorry for laughing, but it is funny. I'm sorry about the bruise... did the bug leave juice behind? Ick, I shouldn't have asked.

I've had many run ins with those things. I scream like a little girl when they brush up against me....and you'd think I was in mortal danger if they every make solid contact with me. I have a neighbor, who still makes fun of me, because she saw how I reacted when one hit me in the face.

Wait. I thought cicadas were suppose to come out every like 10 years or so....cause I remember a while back when I was in middle school that they invaded and it was crazy!! They were EVERYWHERE!

There are different broods and types, some are yearly and bi-yearly. The ones you are thinking about are the 11-17 year ones. )

It sounds cruel, right? I always thought it was.. but my Daddy presented this contraption to me like it was the best toy ever!! ..and I would wait for him to go away and quickly untie the bug and set it free... LOL

I miss them.. *stomps foot* ...I want to move back to GA, now..

Cool pictures but bugs are just plain nasty. I can not stand junebugs. They are the grossest bugs. Yuck.
