I am so sorry :(! I am tearing up as I see pics of Chili. This just breaks my heart, my sympathies to both you menagerie and Sarah!

I went to the link on FB yesterday but I was at work and needed to log off right away. I have paypal'd a donation to you before, would it be ok to use the same paypal address?

Thank you so much. I'll PM you PayPal details.

I'm so sorry for your loss. She was a gorgeous girl. I just donated to the fund. Vet bills are so rough, even worse when they don't make it.

Words seem so terribly inadequate :(

Sleep well, Chilli.

so sorry to hear that another precious furry has passed. At least we know that she is happy and pain free now. Now we can help by donations to the veterinary efforts of these folks who try so hard to take care of the rescues.Times are tight, but it's amazing what can happen when the compassion of many animal lovers come together.:)

Sarah, I am so terribly sorry for your loss. I talked with Meanie often as she worked with Chili, and I know your little girl fought the hard fight, and that she was loving and full of life. The vets office even fell under her spell, and wanted to try everything possible to save her. Well, you all did. No one could have done more so there should be no guilt or regret, other than for the loss of one so young.

Rip in peace little one.

It is hard for me to come on the board right now and I probably won't be back for awhile. But I just wanted to say thank you so much to everyone who sent their thoughts and well wishes. And I can never thank Meanie enough for everything she did, all the time and energy she put into taking care of Chili. I have never met anyone more kind and giving. Thank you.

Come on ya'll. I know everyone is on a tough budget, but any donation would helpwith vet care expenses and also help make the loss of a sweet little chin a little easier to bear. Also according to menagerie's post, the vet has really helped by discounting their services, now it's time for us to chip and help. You would be surprised how much a little contribution can help if alot of people work together. Plus , any funds remaining will go to benefit a blessed chinchilla rescue. I don't know this person or her chin but looking at those xray films all I could think about was "what if that were one of my precious little fuzz butts?" So come on and rally round for a good cause, menagerie even has donated fleece houses for anyone who gives a $20.00 donation.Admins if I shouldn't keep bringing this fund up on the site, please let me know. I just didn't want it to not be noticed. Thanks:hug2:

Could we post a new thread with "please help out" in the title and the link to the fundraiser in the first post? Maybe that would get more attention.

Huge thanks to everyone that has contributed to Chili's surgery fund.

I went tonight to pay the remaining balance for Chili's surgery. The original estimate was $1,000 - $1,300. Normally they require the lower estimate as a deposit but the vet told reception to only have me make a $500 deposit. He told me he was going to work with me on the bill, but I wasn't ready for what they told me the remaining balance was tonight. I owed a balance of a whopping $150. :dance3: Have I mentioned that I LOVE my vet?

I found out today that I am able to make revisions in the description, goal and ending date, which I was under the impression were not allowed. So I have revised the GivingForward goal to $650 and updated her status in her story. I also found out today that I will be paying a total of 6% in combined fees for all money earned on GivingForward, so I am now encouraging people to make any contributions to Chili's vet fund via PayPal. I swear these companies get you coming and going.

I was sorry to hear that the "other" Chilli had passed. I am facing difficult decisions with my own Chilli at the moment.
