I currently have two rescue chinchillas that I have had around 8 months and I am trying to convince my parents to let me get a new pet when my big sister goes to military training and we will only be able to write for three months. I thought about getting another dog (We have a schnoodle that we got for my birthday a few years ago but he only sleeps in my parents room) but I think I want to adopt a kitten and get a hedgie. Should I be worried about them getting along? My chinchillas have no fear of our dog no matter how much he barks they just go up to the gate or cage and look at him lol. Although Im kind of worried about a kitten because of their notorious reactions to small animals like mice...

i think that you should pick just one oet to get to start... you dont want to overload yourself... id pick the hedgie because they are kept in a cage so less chance of anything bad happeneing like it not getting along with the pets you already have.

Do you have the room to house the chins in a separate room from the hedgies? They have totally opposite temperature requirements and could not be housed in the same room.
