actually, the sounds aren't working for me either. They have in the past and I've played them multiple times on my computer. Oh well.

This site is great! I only have one chin, so the only sound I usually hear her make is the warning call. Otherwise she is a very quiet, and assumingly content, chin!

Updated my Quicktime, but I still can't hear any of the sounds.....is there something I'm not clicking.. or clicking incorrectly to hear the various "wavs"?

Mine is making what i believe to be the Dont Hurt me sound whenever i look at her, its her first day here and ive been watching her actions every now and again. She seems to just hide under her wheel and sit there. She did however go into her house for some sleep earlier today

good news i got it to work! i downloaded apple quick time and i pinned it to my desktop. then i oppened it up clicked file then clicked open url i coppeyed and pasted the url of the specific sound then pasted it on the quick time thing the opened when i clicked file open url and it played

Thank you for this, it helped immensely. Granted, Leo doesn't seem fazed by these sounds.

This site is down. I assume since it's now been down for nearly a month according to sbringas' post that it is down permanently. Does anyone know anywhere else to get access to sounds that chinchillas make and what they mean?

The site linked here did work for me. Unfortunately a lot of the sounds are mislabeled.

My chin Zidane however did bounce around looking for the "phantom chinchillas." It was cute. He even talked back to the one mislabeled angry.
