Chinchilla eye problem

My chinchilla's one eye seems to be a problem with him. There are no crust or water or anything but he can't really open one eye. It shivers(?) and.. He can open it if he wants to but it's like, when people have something in their eye, they can't open it. It's almost like that. Is that it or is that some kind of a sign of infection and what not? Please help ASAP!

Chinchilla eye issues should never be self vetted IMO, the chin could have a infection, the chin could have a corneal scratch, both issues require different treatments and need to be diagnosed by a vet and a prescription given. Don't wait, eye infections can go really bad and lead to blindness.

Yes, a vet is in order. Not much that you can do.

Well today he looks just fine. He winked at me today and his eyes are as wide as the moon.. just like before Thank you everyone for answering though! I think I might want to take him to the vet just for a check up.. just in case if he is having problems, I can detect it soon! Thank you!

Glad to hear. Wonder what that was about. I just worry when it is the eyes. My previous chin had problems with his eye, but it was really the teeth.
