I have a feisty ferret cage (it has caused me a few problems, but I had it before I got my chinchilla and it functions), which came with a divider to add a second story. When I got my chinchilla we had taken out the divider and all of the plastic, so he could jump from ledges instead of plastic ladders and he wouldn't have a divider in his way. Now I'm not sure if I should add the divider back in, and just have ledges around it so he can go from level to level easily. The problem is, he always tries to jump from the very top of the cage to the bottom, and thankfully nothing has happened to him yet but I'd like to prevent that. I thought having two levels would keep him safer. Also- since the feisty ferret cage is smaller than the FN would two levels make the cage too small for a chin? Just wanted to make sure before I reassembled his cage. Thanks!
