MY chin Chloe got into with my other female alee(posted about before) anywho now im noticing her fur all around her vaginal is brown.. kind of thick stuff in a few chunks of fur... Is this an infection? what should i do?:hair:im having such a hard time with her lately i just hope she'll overcome this is all

Get to the vet A.S.A.P.!!! Could be a lot of things - none good!!

It could very well be an infection. Make an appointment to see the vet ASAP and ask them to check for pyometra.
the vets arent open until monday she's already on antibiotic for her nose and neck would the antibiotics help with that browning problem? and will she be okay until monday?

Different antibiotics work for different infections, bacteria, problems etc. Look for an emergency vet in your area, as waiting to Monday could only make the issue worse. Vaginal infections or disruptions aren't something you want to wait on.

Find a emergency vet, and go!! You'll thank us later, once you find out the problem!!

Can you take a picture of the problem? And, do you know how long she has had the brown fur? Is it possible that it's just a cage stain?

It could definitely be some type of infection. Is she eating and acting normally? Any discharge coming from the vaginal opening at all?

Is she puddle sitting? Does she have a solid bottomed cage? Does the stain smell of urine?

Poor baby, her nose looks so raw.

It does look like urine on her underside. If she's acting normally at this point, I wouldn't think it is an infection. Definitely make sure she keeps eating and is acting normally. With pyometra it seems like most of the time the first symptom is lethargy or another behavioral change.

Will do! i will still take her in on monday to be sure.. thank you

Poor baby. I hope wounds heal fast.
It can be just urine stain. Urine can be brown/red if pellets are high in iron. And some brands are, pellets with Fe 560 ppm usually make urine brown( may depend on the proportion of pellets/hay of course). But chins urine is yellow with Fe 480 ppm or lower. Her poop can be dark too.
Can you tell what pellets do you feed?
