I think it's good that she joined the forum. She can now get the correct information, since many of us listed are active members, and if she wants to do a directory of reputable breeders I wouldn't have a problem being listed there.

I did get a reply, and she did remove that part of the site :)

I too think it may be good that she joined. Like a few said--with her joining perhaps she'll get updated information :)

Hi Sara and welcome.

No, it isn't intellectual property, but it is showing courtesy. As pointed out above, being linked on a site with questionable information or being linked to a breeder of questionable reputation is not something a lot of people want. The chinchilla community is actually fairly small, and most of us know each other if not well, at least as acquaintances, so we know where we want to be linked and where we don't. There was a time when many people were on a links page of a nut with a huge web page with incredibly questionable information on it, and when asked repeatedly to be removed, they were ignored. People knew this person was a nut, and wondered if the people linked there were considered nuts by association.

Also, I can see where people would be upset being on your not working links page. It is an implied criticism on your part, and it would be taken offensively by anyone on that list, especially considering that most of the list was wrong.

I hope that explains better why people were not thrilled with your link page, and again, welcome.
