What would be the best way to transport 2 chinchillas? On an airplane in a 2 hole carrier, or a 3 day car ride in a 2 hole carrier but getting nights in a cage?

I would be so nervous to take my chins on an airplane. All the cold bugs floating around, and the stress of the altitude change. You can't be for sure they won't turn you away at the door before you got on the plane(Some are very picky). I don't know, that's just my opinion. I would say car ride. That way you can stop if you see they are getting stressed, and you can act right away. Either way will be stressful.

Are you moving, or is it just a vacation and you want to take the chins with you?

I didn't have my chins at the time, but I made a cross-country trip when I moved to Arizona from North Carolina last summer. It took us 4 days, but we stopped every night. I had my 2 dogs, 3 lizards, and a turtle. They all did fine with the trip.

I don't know about planes with chins, I've heard 2 different sides to it.

I don't have experience with planes, either, but I've found the chins do pretty well in road trips (especially when you're in a hotel at night).
I hope your move goes well. Good luck!

i would be nervous with my boys so far away from me. i vote for the car ride. that way you can check on them and talk to them and be more in control of their care.
