After doing all of my research for my color/mutation page for my site I now want a little violet wrap girl. I lusted after a BV for so long and Nyx is gorgeous! Just what I thought and she is so sweet and shy. Petra is her feisty attention seeking lovable standard self. and Now I'm being sucked into wanting a little violet girl.

How do you make it stop? How do you stop getting more and more of these adorable little creatures? Must resist! But after the summer I will have too much extra money.... :banghead::wacko:

Who knows maybe intros with Petra and Nxy will strike the thought of another chinchilla right out of my head if they don't get along.... I'm already stressing about it. :hair: ... Lol!

I hear ya girl! I have a standard and a BV. NOW, I'm wanting a pink white and dark ebony at the same time from the same breeder that I got my 2 boys from, so I will have to wait patiently :waiting: until my future babies are born!

Yeah... I don't think too many people on here will tell you to stop! We all have the same problem! I thought, no, I can't get any more but went to Nationals and came home with a violet. So, sorry I'm not help! :cute:

I absolutely love violets. From my experience they seem the most mellow and laid back. I love mine. They are great

I have heard that the different colors tend to have different personality traits. The breeder I got Nyx from said beiges with really feisty, and wild. Is there any truth to that? Or is it just down to the individual chinchilla?

I think it depends on the chin and the breeder. I know some can breed for temperment, and it also depends on if the kits are handled daily at birth.
