Aww very cute, I love baby chins!

The only thing I want to say is that those wire shelves and ramps is just asking for trouble with those little babies running around on them. I would not put a baby chin in a cage with wire ramps and shelves (I wouldn't even put an adult chin in on with wire ramps) Their little feet can easily get caught in the wire holes and get stuck. Many people have had that happen and sometimes the leg needs to be amputated as a result..
It seems like they're the 1/2" x 1/2" but I personally wouldn't want to risk it

Before I joined even C+Q's, I had a concern over wire ramps, so I covered them all with 1/4 x 1/4 hardware screen, and never had a problem, so I left them - still no problems!
[even lets the poops fall through] Fastened pine over the shelves though, to prevent "golden showers"!

I had no idea. I ordered this as my "baby safe" cage from Martin's cages on a recommendation from a breeder.

These babies are crazy. They actually climb up the side of the cage! Should I cover the sides too?

I would definitely cover those!! If they climb high enough and decided to do a suicide jump or accidentally slip, they'd fall and hurt themselves!

I'll go against the norm here & say that I used Martin's cages for years w/the wire shelves & ramps & never once had any problems or accidents. Not saying they can't happen but never happened here.
