I joined the group. I hope they will accept me since I'm not actually adopting any hedgies.

No problem... I'll have to admit to a d'oh myself... it was actually the "hedgehogtrain2" yahoo group and board! Got myself all mixed up for a moment there reading a few different sites I frequent all at the same time.

I joined--I can't adopt any hedgies, but I'd be happy to contribute toward supplies or transportation. I want all the animals to find good homes!

Does anyone know what kind of reptiles were rescued from this raid and if there were any amphibians? My oldest son would be interested in giving a temporary or permanent home to some reptiles or amphibians.

I heard there were a lot of lizards (I saw pictures of "bearded dragons") and I know they have numerous types of turtles from aquatic to land.

The defense rested yesterday. There are rebuttals going on today (Thursday). A decision is hoped for next week.

I asked about reptile adoptions and was told that they are not close to being ready for anything yet. There will be a contact person if/when.

Stay away from Hog Wallow Industries

Too bad there aren't any reliable wheel makers in business right now. I am still waiting for mine from Sunshine Quill since last February and the Cake Walk Supreme wheels have people waiting since August.

I ordered a Cake Walk Supreme Wheel from Hog Wallow Industries on December 15 and paid immediately by Paypal. After a couple of weeks and having not received it, I emailed customer service and asked where the wheel was. I got no response. Now almost a month later, I still have not received the wheel and have filed a claim with Paypal. If you have not done business with these people, don't.

I joined the Hedgehog Society organization that Nancy posted. I'm normally on the chin side. I gave hedgie railroad information.

I can probably help transport hedgies from Jacksonville into Central FL. Daytona, Orlando, Gainesville, Ocala.

Iam in Ocala florida and im going to help railroad within atleast 2 hrs any direction from me and awaiting approvial on an adoption just have to hear back from my refrences.

I went to HWS and submitted for an adoption form, also mentioning Chins n hedgies, and also the Texas event. If there are still more needing homes, I'm a first time adopter, but got my girlfriend how has adopted rescues twice now, so I got good advice on how stuff works. I hope I can help out.

Well, I had told my mom about the situation and she seems quite excited about it. Works for me! :hug2: From her words, we are willing to give 2-3 hedgies homes that need them, and I had filled out an application and sent it. So I think that is all I need to do?

Does anybody know whats going on with hedgies from Arlington?
I put in a form on Friday 02/05/2010 and hope to adopt at least one.
i've never had a hedgehog as a pet before but i hope to get one.
They said nationwide adoption and i hope they will bring some to NJ soon.
