I have a fairly large chinchilla wheel, and it works fine for the chin, but it is very noisy. It is so noisy that sometimes the sound wakes me up in the middle of the night. I plan to get a flying saucer wheel VERY soon, I just want to know if it is very quiet, and how well it works.:hmm:

The flying saucer I have is pretty quiet. It wouldn't wake me up and I'm a light sleeper. It can make the cage rattle a bit if my chin really gets going on it, but otherwise it doesn't make much sound at all.

If you use extra u-bolts as well as a chunk of pine (or other safe woods) under the arm of the Saucer it helps a LOT. I have two chunky chins who pound on that Saucer and it's so quiet. I have a Chin Spin in the other cage and it is very quiet as well.
