Ewwww! Not going to lie...I'm petrified of mice never mind that big honkin' thing!

Apparently you've never been to the ghettos of Detroit

:high5:

And still even in beautiful and clean and rich areas there is poop and pee in the streets. I live in Santa Barbara which is very wealthy and we have a huge homeless problem. I don't mean like people without housing, I mean like guys who talk to themselves and follow you home for a quarter or sit in the parks or on the beach all day with cardboard signs...it's really sad. Doesn't make SB a dirty place though

And I'd probably have been the one to grab it. I mean, it may not be the cutest thing in the world it's still a helpless animal

Well, considering the largest rodent in the world can be the size of an average Great Dane, he's not so intimidating comparatively. (See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capybara Now, that shows up in my kitchen, to heck with moving, I'm emigrating!)

However, I learned a very valuable lesson from my father, farmer's son that he is: "Don't back anything into a corner that's meaner than you are." ;) Since I don't want ticked-off wild animals in my living room, I try to stay out of theirs.

I love Capybaras!!!! They have them at the zoo here in SB and they had them at the one I worked at back home. They look kinda like big guine pigs!!!:hug2:

Has anyone checked the validity of this "news" on Snipes or whatever? It looks very 'shopped to me ;)

I've seen these at zoos. They're like giant guinea pigs with that face!

Oh, man, it reminds me of that scary story where the couple goes to Mexico and smuggles a "Mexican Hairless" dog back to the States for their son. It turns out to be a SEWER RAT, complete with rabies!!!

I find the patagonian cavy to be an interesting rodent type animal (google it: it looks like a HUGE guinea pig!)

you'll be surprised to see size of rats in pre-clinical studies at research institutions. When I first saw such a huge rat, my eyes sorta bugged out of my sockets! I have to say, they are pretty cute.

I love ratties, and to be honest, I kind of thought the 6lb one in the article was kinda cute. haha

I'd take the giant rattie home, give it a bath, and then feed it up some more heheh.
I love rodents....even the mucky ones lol.

Lol, did any one click on the link to the bigger story? He ran up into the crowd, grabbed the rat, yelled, "I caught a rat the size of a house cat!" Stuffed it in his bag and ran away with it. LMFAO!!!
