Two weeks, WOW cannot believe we're "there" already! I feel...so unprepared! Still not entirely sure on my show string...STILL not entirely sure if I'll be able to bring a dessert or not...hmmm...good thing you reminded me though

I know what you mean Vyxxin it seemed so far away, but now it is crunch time. Finalizing tons of things myself to be prepared for the show.

Popped everyone out for a rough groom today, we shall see. All but one of five are going to be in the young class...one a little younger than I like to show...but all reasonable I suppose considering. Decided against showing one as she has tons of white scar fur (an ebony) and just will not show well. Otherwise, good groom session. Should have very little grooming to do the day before/of the show. NOW just need to print out my registration sheet...hmmm!

I will be showing 5 - I think 1-2 may do okay! The others not really don't think so.
You may ask why bring them.... encourrage the chinchilla shows and is at an okay distance for me to bring my chins.

Yep, same here two of mine are aleady sold to pet homes so the show placing will make no difference anyhow. Just figured, I'm going...it ain't gonna hurt anything...show as many as I can

First show for me, bringing 2 and don't expect much but the experience. Think it will be loads of fun though. Can't wait.

I know it will be nice to put some faces to the names on here. Getting a beautiful standard male from Jess Godin and have been in contact with some other members on here. Like I said can't wait.

Don't forget we'll have vendors, too, not just raffles! I know Martin's Cages is taking orders through this week for products people want delivered to the show, plus they'll have cages and things there for sale as well. I'm sure ChinnieShop will take orders for pickup also, to save folks some shipping. =)
But yea, there's definitely a few items I'm keen on winning....

Well Ange if you run out of things to do, you're more than welcome to come over and give me a hand! I plan on bringing about 20 chins to the show this year, so I think I'll have more than a little grooming to do!

I only have 5 that are even remotely old enough and really only two that I should show...so bummed because I really wanted to come but just can't justify the expense of the trip for so few chins and don't want to put my old enough chins through another trip so close to Nationals!

Cheryl, you know...I get SO freaked out grooming other peoples' chins?!? I'm so afraid if the chin doesn't do well they'll think it's cause of how I groomed them! I've done it though, cause I always groom mine right before leaving and then just have to touch them up as I put them in their show cages...but man! I've got SO much to do at this show...trying to make all arrangements in advance...we shall see how THAT works out. Seriously though, once I get mine in their cages I'm free to help I'll be there good an' early I'm sure.

Since Mish has given me permission I'll be finding a way to get some RAF "goodie bags" out to y'all. Bags are for the chins and will have items like toss toys or sticks in them...free of charge...just need to figure out a distribution method but figured, who doesn't like free stuff?!?
