    Teeth points?

Hi everyone, I'm back again, today after another visit to Adobe to see Dr Curt and Dr Jane. Ollie had his teeth filed again - he has some points so Dr. Curt filed them down. I guess my main concern/looking for advice is to how long to keep doing this. I'm concerned he is in pain even though he...

    Any other reason for drool?

i just wanted to update everyone that we saw dr. jane at adobe today and she filed down some points in his back teeth. his cheeks and tongue are fine and once he was back in his cage he started to eat. i'm so glad we caught it, although it doesn't help me from feeling any less bad if he was...

    Any other reason for drool?

so my vet called and thinks one of his molars are too long and reccomends i take him to adobe. i called adobe (i already have a visit scheduled for this sat) but they think i should rush him down regardless. i feel so horrible - i was really afraid of this outcome.

    Any other reason for drool?

Let me start off by saying that I've taken my boy to the vet and he is returning tomorrow for xrays and a mouth evaluation. But... ever since his last bout of seizures he's been wet - in the whiskers, on his chin, and sometimes on his paws. His energy level has never dropped - he eats, poops...

Medicating for seizures - anyone do this?

i know, i don't want him to live a crappy life on medicine 24/7 but i guess i don't want him to be hurting, either. thanks for that link, tanya!

Medicating for seizures - anyone do this?

he has them so sporadically, i'm not sure if they are nutritional. he never does it after he's been bouncing around either. for instance, on sun he hopped out and got scared - and then bam, seizure. so maybe it could be a low blood sugar one? he eats the same as my other guy (and has been...

Medicating for seizures - anyone do this?

Hi all, So one of my male chinchillas has hereditary seizures. He is almost 7 years old and has them quite infrequently - he can go years without having any. They just come at random times and I usually hold him until it passes to make sure he isn't choking or hurting himself while he is out of...

Little lethargic and hiding in house

he does eat the CC with no fight. i gave him a belly rub last night and also this morning - getting some gas drops as well. he did chew some bark off an apple stick and his dish showed signs of it being touched. he also pooped in his dustbath last night, too.

Little lethargic and hiding in house

dawn - finally home. here's what they gave me: metacam, enroflaxin, and cisapride. he's currently taking a dustbath and was out of his house when i came home chilling on his shelf. there are new poos - they are tiny but its something.

Little lethargic and hiding in house

yes - if he doesn't improve i will take him there. glad to know that they are open 24/7 (almost better to take them at night so there isn't a risk of the car being too hot at night). i am in downtown SF but will gladly make the trek for them - and you recommendation is highly appreciated. <3

Little lethargic and hiding in house

*sigh* i know. i'm sitting here at work getting sick to my stomach. we recently got a cat so i'm not sure if he's trying to adjust to having her in our place. my other chin is fine but we've been having abnormal weather here - first time we've seen the sun out in a week.. there's nothing...
