Hi everyone,

I'm back again, today after another visit to Adobe to see Dr Curt and Dr Jane. Ollie had his teeth filed again - he has some points so Dr. Curt filed them down. I guess my main concern/looking for advice is to how long to keep doing this. I'm concerned he is in pain even though he eats and runs happily in his wheel. My heart breaks because I feel so torn - my little buddy acts normal so I'm afraid of making the wrong choice - either to keep him with me or let him go to the Rainbow Bridge.

If anyone can offer any words of wisdom that would be great. My fingers are crossed today's procedure will help.

The key to dealing with teeth is this-does the chin bounce back in a few days after the filing, if so its fine. If the chin is still being a chin, doing chin things and is happy don't worry too much. Dr. Nakamura is great, I just love him and he will talk to you about the quality of life if he thinks its time. My longest term dental chin was 10 years, he was a happy guy and did very well after filings, he was 17 when he passed. If it comes to the point where the chin does not bounce back, does not want to play, hides in his hidey house and looks deflated and down all the time, then its time. Until then enjoy him, chins with dental issues do not have a expiration date stamped on them, every case is different.

thanks dawn. he does bounce back - was at his food dish last night. i don't blame him if he's pissed at me, lol. i just wish i could know how he felt. bah.
