Getting my chin more used to me?

It's been about 3 days now. He's still not too social, but he is getting used to me. Is there anything I can do to make him trust me more? He's 4 months old. Or should I just be patient and sit by him every day?

one more thing.... Anything I should know about a young chin?

He's been adjusting VERY well. I hear stories about how people's chin barked for days and wouldn't even let them get close. I'm on day 3 and he's already 'grooming' me and likes to climb on my hand. He's so sweet! I also had to pick him up while we were giving him a dust bath and he kinda got...

Pine or Aspen? Also, Food question.

Is a fleece liner just like a fleece blanket that you put on the bottom?

NAME MY CHIN! (last thread i promise!)

Yeah I made it so it was Small washer/Cage wire/Larger Washer/Small washer to tighten it up a little more. I'll keep looking for bigger ones though

NAME MY CHIN! (last thread i promise!)

I'll try to remember to get one tomorrow! Today he was warming up to me a little more because I would just put my hand near him and he would smell it and nibble and climb on it little. Yay!

NAME MY CHIN! (last thread i promise!)

Not yet, I would now but he's taking a nap. But about the boards.. The washers that came with it are a little too small, so the board will fall into the cage. What would you suggest I do to fix it? All the bigger washers at Home Depot had bigger holes also so it didn't make a difference!

NAME MY CHIN! (last thread i promise!)

Some of my choices so far are Chip, Charlie, Bagel, Bean, Hoover. I think it's cute when they are named after food! :) (As i said before.. LOL!) Help me guys! I feel stumped on a name!

one more thing.... Anything I should know about a young chin?

Thanks everyone! I have been talking to him a lot already... it sounds weird to me lol but I do it anyways! And when can I start handling him? Today will be the first FULL day that he is home. Also, Danilinn, I wrote back to your PM but I'm not sure if I did it right (still new to the forums)...

Pine or Aspen? Also, Food question.

Does a chin have to be pee-trained in order to use a fleece liner? I don't quite understand how they are used! Lol

one more thing.... Anything I should know about a young chin?

No playtime? Can I let him out at all? What about when it comes time to clean his cage?

one more thing.... Anything I should know about a young chin?

My chinchilla is 3.5 mos. Is there anything I should know regarding playtime, diet, dustbaths, etc? I got him today and it seems like he's already very calm in this new environment. I sat by his cage all day today!

Pine or Aspen? Also, Food question.

^When I say "I have both" I mean that I have both Pine bedding and Aspen bedding.

Pine or Aspen? Also, Food question.

I have both and I'm wondering What I should use once they run out. Also, Does Oxbow make a good quality pellet? I bought that today because that's what my chin was already eating. Is it comparable to Mazuri? Thanks guys!

NAME MY CHIN! (last thread i promise!)

Hey guys! I just got him today and he's ADORABLE! I'm trying to think about a name. He's very active and loves to jump around. He's actually pretty friendly. He was sniffing me through the cage and let me feed him a cheerio. He has the most amazing coat of fur! Also, I think it would be cute if...

    Wood adhesives that are chin-safe?

I want to build my chin his own house. What can I use to keep the wood together?
