There is a member on this forum with a chinchilla who is (I believe) 23 years old. Definitely older than 20 years, I remember because it REALLY stuck out to me haha.

I would take Ivan out for about 10 or 15 minutes, then bring Sonya out with him and watch the two of them run around together for a half hour at the most--I could tell when Ivan was getting tired. They're so cute! Congrats. But I have one major problem with this thread WHERE ARE THE PICTURES...

I haven't been lucky enough to witness anyone who actually deserved it get their "karma". Unfortunately for the chinchillas involved, I don't think it happens...I think we just like to believe it does happen. Then again, I'm a pessimist.

Headlines, after following this thread for sometime, I also have to agree with Peggy and Dawn. They know their chinchillas very well, and with your veterinary situation as you described it, I really do think the best thing to do for your baby is to send him to a better place. I'm so very sorry...
