When I see videos like that online, I report them for animal abuse (via youtubes report filter) and then I leave a nasty, scathing comment. I'm brutal. I donb't even care if I'm swearing at some kids...if they're going to post some terrified animal video, I'm going to speak my mind and tell them...

That's really interesting about the 'middens' where they seal their poop. I wonder if pet chinchillas have that tendency, too? I notice that Sonya likes to poop in one spot...there's a literal pile where she likes to sit and poo.

I caught a guinea pig that had escaped into a large, large forest for 2 days. We had a wire fence that backed up into a forest, and he ran right through the fence and we thought he was long gone. But we put his cage close to the fence at night, and left all sorts of guinea pig treats in the cage...

Yesterday when I went to spend some time with my chinnies, I noticed that Rodya's whiskers are...not there. O_o It seems Pico has chewed off practically all of Rodya's whiskers on his right side, and left about 1/4 to 1/2 inch of his whiskers on the other side. The right side has 4 or 5 thick...

Thanks everyone! Dawn, I never thought of it like that! No wonder Rodya was so surprised, he must have thought I sprayed him! No worries though, I don't plan on doing it again, and the two times I mentioned in my OP were the only 2 squirts. The first time was an accident, the second I meant to...

Pico and Rodya have FINALLY gotten used to each other! I didn't have a small cage for the cage within a cage method, but I did the next best thing I could think of, which was to put their cages so close together that their bars almost over lapped, so that they could reach each other a little...
