Colorado ECBC Spring Show February 1, 2014, Ft. Collins

Lol!!! You're right, but unlike your cold, overcast winters, we are sometimes able to play golf and ski in the same day!!! It's not unheard of to have a "no jacket required" day in January and February. On the other hand, we can have bitter cold and snow, too. We've always just called it our...

    Leaving

Definitely a radio with volume down low. I actually leave my TV on for my chins ALL the time!!! My rancher buddy tunes his to an all talk format so they hear human voices in the chin barn. If you don't have a wheel, now would be an excellent opportunity to add one since he won't get play time...

Am I really doing this wrong!?

^^^^ Well said!!! ^^^ I completely agree with all who said no fruit/sugar at all. Chinchillas die every day from bloat and stasis because their guts cannot handle it. It's very difficult to try to relieve it.

Cage Cleaning- It has to be easier!

I agree -- Shop Vac is the way to go!!! I was warned to get one with the 2 inch minimum hose or it would get clogged. I thought I'd give the small one a try, because I, too, live in a small condo. Problems: hose not long enough to reach inside entire cage and constant clogging from hay and...

    2013 WI MCBA Regional Show

Well that sucks Sandy!!! I haven't seen you in way too long. I miss that first weekend, too, because of the Troll Festival. :( Well, I finally bit the bullet and bought the damned airfare for $316!!! Last year it was only $241. Like I said, I've been watching the fares since LAST October...

    Silly chin sitting position

Little Two Paws sits like this in his tube most of the time. This is his favorite position for some boy time. ;)

    Advice

The easiest way to take pictures is to put them on some fabric on a table so they can't slide around, then grasp them by the BASE of the tail, NOT the tip, and lift them gently up off of their back legs so that their genitalia can be seen clearly. Close ups are best. Post here and experienced...

Chin attacked, what do I do now?

Well, this is where I chime in on the fact that neutered males CAN be rebonded successfully. It sounds like it may be time to separate them, as most people feel that if blood is drawn, they can never be together again. I disagree and I'm happy to tell you my experience. Be very careful...it...
