Hi everyone,
So I got home from work today and saw a few milky waxy puddles around the cage. I had a google and saw it could either be a heat cycle or some sort of infection. Chinch is getting to 9 months old. When we let her and Chang out to play my wife noticed Chang's back fur was a little crusty. I'm assuming this had occurred due to Chinch sleeping on Chang's back when they curl up and sleep in a chin pile.
I've already booked in an appointment for the vet tomorrow. I'm just wondering if anyone has experienced this before and also what to do about the crud on Chang's fur. Will she groom this off? Or will I have to make two get trips? Also is it a danger to Chang?
Thanks in advance.

Don't take their word for it.Both chins need to be sexed which IMHO is best done with a hair ring check. I have all males and I sex every one of them(except for reputable breeder) myself.Every chin who wants to live here has to undergo a "taffy pulling" before they can stay.

Flip them over and check to see if both sets of parts look the same, or better yet take pictures of the parts and post them here. There have been many MANY times that chins are not sexed correctly and a kit is found without warning.

The easiest way to take pictures is to put them on some fabric on a table so they can't slide around, then grasp them by the BASE of the tail, NOT the tip, and lift them gently up off of their back legs so that their genitalia can be seen clearly. Close ups are best. Post here and experienced chinfolk will sex them for you.
