    Still having babies!

These are the Lowe's or Goldbars or whatever one wants to call them, lol. I know Serena in Canada was working with TOV and RW's but don't know if she got one or not. My purpose for breeding the TOV in was to get the thicker denser fur from the males line, if a TOV is produced then that's fine...

    Fur Biting?

It's hard to tell from the picture but it looks like the grey fur is LONGER than the black tipped fur. If this is true it's not chewing, it almost looks as if it's a priming line. I would dust good and get a chin comb to comb out the loose fur.

Help! Chin hates to be picked up/moved

I'll tell you like I treat all of my animals and recommend. You treat them from day one like you will treat them forever. Otherwise they spend the first month or two "settling in" and then when you start to handle them they are shocked and it's much harder on them then if you just started that...

    Water Filtration System?

I would not put my money on municipal water filtering anything out. Not all water is chlorinated like in big cities. My theory is if you wouldn't drink it, don't expect your animals too. Everyone drinks from out triple canister filtered water system that runs to the water spigot on the sink next...

    Why give few treats?

I've owned many dwarves and your chin does not have any dwarf traits. They are small and compact, with short smooshed noses and very wide ear set with either very small ears or very large ears. They have a distinct hobbling gait when they move and have very long lower back legs, what most people...

    SuperPet Fiddlesticks...how dangerous?

I agree with Peggy, I used them as well with no complications.

is it fungus? or fur biting ? how do I help her?

Often stress, but can also be caused by diet issues. I got a female from a breeder for the lines (she was a RWC female) who chewed her belly. This isn't a normal place to chew and she said she'd had some feed issues when I asked her. I brought her here and with the new diet the chewing stopped...

    Still having babies!

Well not here. But here is a kit out of a pair I set up and she was bred when she went to JoEllen's! A black female out of a recessive white female and a black male, so she'll be a great asset to JoEllen's RW program! There was another pic or two but I couldn't get them off my phone and onto my...

    Manna Pro???

The mills they use don't just process one type of feed, they process all kinds, sometimes the hoppers don't get cleaned fully, but that doesn't mean they purposely use corn in the mix. You can also use Nutrena Nature Wise, it comes in 25# bags which would be more ideal for you with 2 chins...

Rose Hips, Pink Rosebuds and an unknown as treats

Agree with above, petals and buds, you're good to go!

    Any luck with Standlee hay?

I used it for all of my chins with no issues. Hay is a product of nature. It is not a man made creation, it will have flaws. They use huge equipment to process it. Fields get weeds, bugs, frogs and more. I've heard of people tossing whole expensive bags because they found a cricket leg... Here...

    OMG Some people

People don't know there is a chin world online, most people don't realize all of the specialty groups and sites exist. They get a pet at the petstore, and start with bad info there, then a friend remembers they knew someone who had one, and they loved eating *whatever bad food*, and it...

New to Chins, need housing and wheel advice?

Check craigslist for ferret nation or critter nations, you don't have to spend a ton. I have a FN for sale for $75 if you're in Nebraska, lol. You can get them used pretty cheap sometimes. Any DYI cage will cost about a much as buying a used one if not more. Really there is no substitute for a...

    Pawing at mouth?

Did they sedate her and look in the mouth or just xray? Sometimes there can be a spur on the teeth that an xray won't catch, or something stuck in there like a splinter in the check. Occassionally I'd have a chin do that and I'd gently swab the inside of the check with a cotton swab to make...

Looking for owners of RVN T1, T51, T53

If you own these animals bred by me, I have their Empress registration certificates if you want them! ;) I'm sure some of them have been resold, or possibly lost, but if anyone here does have them I'd be glad to send them these certificates from their show registration! :D

    A blood bath!

Could the bones at the tip of the tail be broken? If it's causing her pain she could be chewing it to get rid of the pain...

    introducing new chins Help

If you want to help a chin check out a rescue, buying from a pet store just promotes them to stock more chins. regardless of sex there is always a risk chins won't get along. Tomorrow your two boys may decide they're tired of having a room mate.

    Some of the Growers

I'm sure if I looked through enough I could find some. I distinctly remember one girl had a dot on her belly and I didn't have eb in my white lines, craziest thing, lol.
