hi everybody .
basically i need some help my other half is thinking of getting a 3rd chin.
we currently have 2 boys . we didn't get them together we had a grey chin first then a few months later got a white one . it took a couple of weeks but we ended up introducing them just fine and now they get on really well.

we wanted to know if this was possible with a 3rd ? my main worry is the 3rd is a girl both the boys have been neutered but will that stop them from fighting over her ? they never fight as it is ?

it's not for breeding or anything we just saw her up for adoption in a pet store ?

I definitely would not do it. Introducing a new chin to an already bonded pair can cause the bonded pair to begin fighting, resulting in 3 single chins. In my experience trios also do not have a very high success rate. All that aside, I would never put two males with a female even if they are neutered.

If you want to help a chin check out a rescue, buying from a pet store just promotes them to stock more chins.

regardless of sex there is always a risk chins won't get along. Tomorrow your two boys may decide they're tired of having a room mate.

I would never even think about caging more than 1 male with a female. Fixed or not it increases the chances of fighting. I don't consider getting a chin from a pet store a rescue. Its a purchase. Go find a male that needs a good home.

First I would NEVER put a female with 2 chins. However I don't even recommend trios at all - they seldom work. Sometimes it causes the original pair to start fighting. Then you will have to have 3 separate cages
