It's been exactly one month since I've had any kits born here and I finally have a new one! Prozac, an extra large, gorgeous and very blue standard female gave birth to a little standard girl. The sire is Tut, a pure standard that has produced extremely blue and clear babies in the past.
Doxycycline (Doxy) weighed in at 48g! She's feisty and a very silly little thing.
I've left her and her mom in the colony cage. I usually separate this colony, but after their kits are weaned the females go right back in and are greeted and groomed like they never left. Apple, a beige female in the colony has been sleeping near Prozac and Doxy since she was born and when Prozac needs a break, Doxy will go cuddle with Apple. The entire colony checked out the new kit last night and took turns grooming her and checking her out. I LOVE this colony!
