I was trying to go and pet my usually very mellow chin Samson tonight, and he jump the the back of the cage and tried to spray multiple times...I cracked up and left the confused little boy alone...

Does anyone else have a 'confused' male chin?

Occasionally Crash will get mad, tap dance for a minute, and then look confused as to why his foot is wet.

Wait .. when they do that tap dancing kinda thing .. they are mad? My Fonzie does it A LOT. And even when nobody is bothering him. Usually at playtime on the mat I have out. I always thought he was just trying to get comfy .. lol.

He might be. But that "tap dancing" is often a warning sign before they try to spray. Granted, some just go from 0 to peeved, but some will warn you first.

That's so weird!! Seriously, every time he does it nobody is around him bothering him. And I've only ever seen him do it on one mat in the kitchen during playtime. He's never actually sprayed though. So weird! Thanks for the heads up )

Samson goes ahead and tries to jump while he's spraying...He jumps and gets about a half an inch of distance...

I have all boys except for my one female, and a few of them have tried to spray. You can't help but applaud them for their effort, no matter how futile it may be! My female on the other hand? If she gets pissed, watch out! :rofl:

i have 1 male that when he is not happy he will get up on his back legs and hop forward and try & spray me. he actually has not done it in a very long while. it was usually when i was trying to get him out for playtime. but now he just jumps in my arms.
