I have an 8 year old chinchilla. He recently had to get a tooth trimming at the vets because his molars were overgrown. I’ve had him for a while, but I’ve always worried about the lifespan of these special guys. Some living to 6 and others to 20. After his medical issue I’ve found myself increasingly worried about him. The first 4 years of his life were not the best and I’m not sure if things like this can affect that. He’s my little buddy and I can’t bear the thought of losing him. I’m sure others have felt this way and I’m just not sure what to do.
