I know that mealies and wax worms can be fed in moderation as they are high in fat. Also that silk worms are good. Has anyone heard of Phoenix Worms?

Here is a nutritional comparison. Would they be a good food for hedgies?

I don't know much about worm makeup, but it seems the Pheonix worm has very high calcium ppm and Phosphorus ppm, as well as the ratio is way off. I don't know if that matters, but maybe someone with more knowledge will come and inform us!

oh, man, I need to stop reading things out of context... I was picturing someone applying make-up to worms for a sec there. You know, like, make them pretty before they're eaten ;)

I haven't heard of Phoenix worms either...

phoenix worms are supposed to be good. ive tried to get them, but can never find them anywhere.

I've never fed them, mostly because I have a colony of mealworms to feed from. But I have read about a few feeding them and apparently the hedgehogs love them. I think they would probably be fine if given in moderation.
