Been talking about these, so here they are.

Keyboard stand and a partially done bookshelf.

Staining is an interesting beasty, I've never been terribly good at it. I used all scrap pieces of wood so it needed a dark stain. :D

As far as the bookshelf... they've never made a strait piece of pine that I'm aware of. Always a joy to work with. har har.

Anyone else have any projects going on?

Spoof I need about 3 of those bookshelves with a lot of shelves! I swear my books are over running my bedroom. These projects are awesome! I especially like the dark stain on the keyboard stand

You need to come visit me! I don't know what you're building yet, but I'm sure I'll come up with something!! lol. Very nice :)

That is an awesome cage! I feel like my stuff is cobbled together (well, it is!) compared to my dad's. He has a gift, everything he does looks professional.

He built this oak entertainment center for our old house. Think it took him four or five months. I don't think he stained it. I'm big on staining because I spill something on everything.

Anyone have any tricks to share? The best I have to offer is the discovery of L brackets for cage doors. They are lifesavers.

wow he built that? uh............he should go into business! that is a beautiful piece.
but no matter what i do i am always proud that i can make something on my own!
we did paint the wood on the cage to match our living room since it is such a big piece. the chins have NO access to any of the wood, it will all be covered in either sheet metal or cage.
