While its a great idea to mix foods so that we can try to cover our basis nutritionally, another key reason is because if a food should become unavailable you have a food or two to fall back on without having to drastically change your hedgehog's diet.
This latter reason hit home yesterday for me. While I have plenty of food in my mix to last 3 months I found out that Pet Promise is going out of business. And will be unavailable as of January 2010 (http://www.petpromiseinc.com/).
Just a warning if you use Pet Promise, start looking for a replacement. They are going away. :cry3:
