Well.. I really hoped to go to Mansfield this year, but I seem to have bad luck when choosing activities to participate in, because they all fall on the same day. I'm a huge Linkin Park fan, as some of you may know, and Chester Bennington's side band Dead by Sunrise was scheduled to perform at the Ulalume festival in Maryland last night, so I bought tickets during the pre-sale before I knew the date for Mansfield. Well, it's hard to pick between chinchillas and your favorite band, but I had a really good time. I was front row in the pit and stayed for Kid Cudi, Dead by Sunrise and AFI. Paramore headlined, but I'm far from a Paramore fan and the crowd was absolutely CRAZY about this band, so I hit the road for my 5 hr drive back home. I wanted to share a few of my photos I took while I was there. :)

Paramore headlined? They suck in concert! I saw them during Stimulate This! and their stage presense just isn't there yet. Glad you had fun though!

Sadly, yes. I didn't stay to see them though. I just don't like their music, or the screaming girls beside my ear. AFI put on an amazing show - I mean absolutely AMAZING. I ended up leaving the front row after Dead by Sunrise went off and ended up in the back so I didn't get the full experience of AFI like I should have. Dead by Sunrise didn't do so bad, but Chester was extremely sick the day before the show and I'm surprised he didn't cancel. Definitely not like a Linkin Park concert, as no one really knew who they were and the crowd wasn't really into them, but I sure was! I felt like an old fart - most of the kids were 16-18 there and my husband and I just looked out of place lol.

I would have loved to have made it to Mansfield today, but I had already driven 5.5 hrs that morning, stood 3 hrs at the gate and 5 hrs in the pit - I couldn't do another 8 hr drive to Ohio and then 9 hrs back home after the show all in a 36 hr period.

Haha Paramore was the first act for Stimulate This. A lot of the crowd liked them(We were in their hometown, Philly), but it wasn't near as crazy as it was for Staind and Shinedown. Paramore is too new to headline anything, IMO. I like one of their songs and that's it... Haha

I'd loooove to go to an LP concert! Mike Shinoda... mmmm.... hehehe

Oh gosh, Linkin Park concerts are the cherry on top of ice cream. I went to 2 last year and had pit tickets for them also - I have quite a few photos from them if you'd like to see later on. Simply put, Mike and Chester just put on a great show. They know how to energize the crowd. Linkin Park crowds are much worse than the emo/scene crowds though. We rock the pit :)

luckyyyy :]
that would have been a great concert. i like all of those bands ^.^

Haha, I won tickets to go to this concert. I went to get a new phone the other day, and they were having a contest to win tickets. Since my cousin works there, he made me fill out a slip before I even knew what it was for. I think I was the only person who actually entered, too. I got a call the following day saying I won the tickets. It figures the only time I win something, it's for something I don't want! I'm not a fan of any of the bands, so I didn't go. I wish I could have sold them and at least make a few bucks off them. I felt kinda bad that they were holding tickets for me.
