My boyfriend just a got a new chin tonight and the pet store told us they she had actually been bought and then later returned :/. Anyway the other owner has cut her whiskers very short and i was wondering if they will grow back? I hope so, why would people do something like this? I just don't get it, don't get one if your not going to be nice to her and take care of her.

They will grow back. People trim whiskers sometimes to cut aggression towards another chin. Chins will also chew the whiskers off of their cagemates as a sign of dominance.

Some people trim the whiskers when they are trying to introduce one chin to another. Maybe the introduction didn't work and the previous owner decided to return that particular chin. Who knows?

They will regrow back.

these whiskers aren't evenly cut about an inch short.. they are about an inch LONG, and some are shorter. unevenly cut and looking rather rough. pics soon, when i get my cable..

Uneven choppy whiskers are usually done by a cagemate. As mentioned above, it's a show of dominance.
