Hey guys, I couldn't sleep last night so I stayed up listening and watching Mika run on her wheel. It's very interesting to just watch her run around, jump off and walk around, get back on her wheel, snoop around her house a little, etc., lol. Anyway...

When I put my hand in her house as I normally do to say goodnight to her, she seemed so happy and excited to be running alllll darn night haha. She was making very fast huffy noises, not the angry/scared ones, but like really fast sounds. However, about every 3-seconds, she'd also make a rumbly noise that sounded like a very hungry tummy. I guess this is the hedgehog pur? She's very bright-eyed and I can tell from her body language she's having a blast on her wheel. I guess it just caught me off-guard to hear her making these noises. It was like:

hiffhiffhiffhiffprrrrrrrrrrrrrrhifhifhifhifhifhifprrrrrrrrrrrrrrhifhifhifhifhifhifhifprrrrrrrrrr lol. i'll try to get it on video next time.

Most likely she was telling you to leave her alone. I have had many that will "rrrrrr" at me if I try to disturb them in the middle of the night. They are busy doing their own thing, and they don't want to be interrupted.

I've also noticed that several of my hedgies seem to get "stage fright" if they see me watching them wheel. I just peek to make sure everyone is alert and active and let them do their own thing
