Hey i was just wondering what you guys store food in because my dogs will eat food if it is left out. :parrot:

I store my food in those huge rubbermaid containers w/ lids. But I also have 6 chinchillas and feed my sisters' 2 and my parents' 3, so that's a total of 11 chinchillas being fed. We buy by the 50lb bags haha.

I do the same as Ash but with a 25lb bag. A big Tupperware should do for a single chin house hold. :)

oh I forgot that I recently bought a cereal dispenser like the bird seed thingy BoundNoFtWal has. I use that for ever day and when it runs out I refill it from the big rubbermaid container.

I leave my feed and cubes in the bags they come in but use these containers, (free from a friend) for dusts and anything I want to keep clean. The old style had a lid that opened half way, very useful.

I use Vittles Vaults - holds a whole 50 lb bag of food and is sealed shut so nothing gets in there that's not supposed to
I've always wanted to try these, when I was looking I couldn't find them anywhere.

I also use the Vittles Vaults. I have one for dust, one for feed, and one for hay cubes, although I keep the lid slightly open on the hay cube container. I store loose hay in a cardboard box.

I use something similar to this. The ones I have I got at Walmart, they are made by Richell and are airtight and keep the food fresh and bug free. The big one with wheels holds a 50 lb bag of food, but they also come in a smaller size.

I keep everything in the bags they come in, as well. Dust is kept in the chin closet, so the bag is just folded down and it doesn't get dirty. I open a bag of feed(5olbs), and it only sits a few days so I am not worried about it being in the bag.

I go to the dollar store and they have the XXXL zip lock bags. I can put a whole bag of PANR in it. I can force the excess air out of it so it is likely to stay fresher longer. I take some out and just leave it until I need more.
