you put a thermometer in the room. the digital ones that also tell you the humidity are perfect.

axe- You could buy those bi-fold doors and set them up so the cold air from the AC stays in the area the chin will be in. That way hopefully you won't have to run the AC all the time, and the area will stay a little cooler.
