I've been on the go since 8am this morning. Even though I have the day off I had several people call--and I wanted to sleep til 10am. Anyway I was at Lisa's packing up clothes and helping movie quite a few things for my nephew and then 2 friends of Lisa's. I came home at 3pm, did the dishes, put a pork roast with shredded cabbage, onions, green apples and a spot of brown sugar. Stewart and I left at 3:45 for the movie District 9 (OMG I was SO tired and wanted to go this weekend, but he was breathing down my neck to go) We got home at 6:45 and the burned cabbage smell was in the hall! UG! Even though I put the nesco on at 150 degrees and the pork roast was frozen, the cabbage, onions and apples were totally burned!
I had to borrow a lighter from the neighbors to light some candles! What a nightmare!
On the plus side, the pork roast was delicious! It was the San Francisco treat to the rescue, I made some beef rice and roni and some beets and the dinner was pretty good!
And it smells like burned cabbage mixed with vanilla now LOL! But the windows are open thank goodness!
